Crisp Scan requires no account and keeps your documents on your own device. There is no copy on any server of ours — so deletion is done by you, on the device, and takes effect immediately.
Option 1 — Delete a document inside the app
Open the document
Tap the document you want to remove, from the list or inside a folder.
Tap delete
Use the ✕ button in the document's bottom bar.
Confirm
On confirmation, the page images and the recognised text are permanently removed from the device.
To delete a single page, tap it inside the document and use Delete in the actions that appear. To delete a whole folder along with its contents, use the bin icon on the folders screen — the confirmation shows how many documents will be lost.
Option 2 — Uninstall the app
Uninstalling Crisp Scan removes every document, image, folder, recognised text and preference stored locally on the device.
Careful: deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want to keep a document, export the PDF and share it before deleting.
What gets deleted
- The scanned images of every page.
- The text recognised by OCR, used for content search.
- Document names, folders and their organisation.
- App preferences and settings stored on the device.
What is retained
Nothing stays with us. We have no server, so there is no copy of your documents, images, recognised text or folders to retain. Deletion on the device is permanent and immediate, and there is no additional storage period on our side.
Only records held by third parties remain, none of which contain the contents of your documents:
- Purchase history — held by Google Play and RevenueCat for as long as their tax and contractual obligations require, under their own policies. It is what allows a subscription to be restored on another device.
- Advertising data — tied to the device's advertising identifier, under Google's policy. Resetting the identifier in your Android settings unlinks previous history.
- Crash reports — anonymous, with no personal identification, retained by the provider under its own policy.
Data held by third-party services
Your documents never leave the device, but some technical data is handled by third-party services, as explained in the Privacy Policy. For those you can:
- Ads: reset or disable the advertising identifier in your Android settings, under "Ads". In the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also review your consent choice under Settings → Ad privacy inside the app.
- Subscription: manage or cancel directly on Google Play. Purchase history is held by the store and by RevenueCat, under each provider's policy.
- Crash reports: these are anonymous and cannot identify you.
Requests by email
For requests under the GDPR, the LGPD or any question about deletion, write to contato@botnow.com.br. We reply within 30 days.
Describe your request and, if it concerns a subscription, include the email of the Google account used for the purchase — that is what allows the transaction to be located with the store.
